ECO-LOGISTIC BVBA attaches a great importance to the protection of your personal data (and your privacy). In this privacy statement we want to provide clear and transparent information (what information we collect) about how we handle personal data. We are committed to protecting your privacy and will therefore be careful with personal information. ECO-LOGISTIC BVBA complies in all cases with applicable laws and regulations, including the General Data Protection Regulation.

Why do we process personal data?

Your personal data is processed by >ECO-LOGISTIC BVBA for the following purposes and legal grounds:

  • To participate in the activities of ECO-LOGISTIC BVBA)
  • Sending newsletters and invitations with consent of the person concerned
  • Obtaining government subsidies

For the above purposes we can ask you to provide the following personal data and store, collect and process this data.

  • Personal identity information: surname, first name, address, telephone number and e-mail address
  • Personal characteristics: gender, date of birth, place of birth, nationality

We use the collected data only for the purposes for which we have received the data.

Provision to third parties

We may pass on the data you provide to third parties if this is necessary for the execution of the aforementioned purposes.

We use third parties for:

  • Provision of the Internet environment (web hosting)
  • Provision of IT infrastructure (e.g. IT network, ...)
  • Preparation (and distribution) of newsletters and invitations

We never disclose personal data to other parties with whom we have not concluded a processing agreement.

We conclude the necessary agreements with these parties (processors) to guarantee the security of your personal data.

Besides this exception, we do not pass on your data to third parties unless this is legally required or permitted.

We may share personal data with third parties if you have given u (written) permission to do so. You may withdraw this permission at any time, without prejudice to the lawfulness of the processing before the withdrawal. We do not provide personal data to parties located outside the EU.

Minors: We only process personal data from minors (persons under 16) if the parent or the legal guardian has given written permission to do so

Retention period

ECO-LOGISTIC BVBA retains personal data no longer than necessary for the purpose for which it was provided or required by law. All personal data is stored for a maximum of 5 years. After this period, the question is asked again whether to extend this period or not.

Data security

We have taken appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorized processing. Some examples of the measures we have taken:

  • All persons who may be aware of your data on behalf of ECO-LOGISTIC BVBA are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of this information.
  • We use a username and password policy on all our systems.
  • We pseudonymise and provide encryption of personal data as and when appropriate.
  • We make backups of personal data in order to be able to restore it in case of physical or technical incidents.

Your rights regarding your data

You are entitled to access, correct or delete the personal data that we have received from you. At the top of this privacy statement is mentioned how you can contact us. You can also contact us via the contact information on our website. To prevent abuse, we may ask you to identify yourself appropriately. To verify your identity, we ask you to send a copy of your identity card. We strongly recommend to make the photograph invisible and mention that it is a copy.

You can also object against processing of your personal data (or part of the data) by us or one of our processors.

You also have the right to ask us to transmit the data you have provided to yourself or to another party. We may ask you to identify yourself before we can carry out the aforementioned requests.

Complaints

You can contact us directly for any complaint relating to the processing of your personal data. You always have the right to file a complaint with the Privacy Commission which is the supervisory authority in the field of privacy protection.

Changes to the privacy statement

ECO-LOGISTIC BVBA may change its privacy statement. We will announce such a change on our website. The last change was made on 4 March 2019.
